Labor rate and where funds go
This is a hobby not a business. I prefer trading my labor for equipment. If you have an old rig you no longer use or someting no longer working contact me. I can likely repair the rig you want repaired in exchange for that broken old mess you no longer want. All funds from labor charges are used to fund local middle and high school STEM (Science Technology, Engineering, Math) programs .
Bluff Dale High Drone Program
In 2021 I was able to provide $150 in donations to Bluff Dale Texas High School Drone program
Tolar, Texas High Ham station
In 2023 I was able to purchase a Yaesu FT-950 HF & 6M Transceiver, Astron RS-20 power supply make repairs, test & donate toTolarTexas Middle & High School Amateur radio licensing class so they could establish a radio station.
Future School Station
Using leftover funding from repair services I have obtained a 2nd Yaesu FT-950 to be donated to another local Texas public school. Delivery and set-up pending.
Do I take donated equpmint?
Yes I am always happy to take donations of old broken (or working) equipment to help build amateur radio stations in North Central Texas schools.
Do I take cash donations toward the programs I assist?
No Technician Underground has donated to a local Texas STEM programs, however we do not handle cash donations. If you would like to donate Technician Underground can direct you to some school programs that are attempting to build classroom amateur radio stations.
